As the new school year begins, please remember that it is paramount that parents stay involved in their child’s education. Be aware of your child’s timetable, make contact with teachers, ask questions about homework and assignments, and keep the school informed of any attendance isues. Children want to feel cared for by their parents even as they grow older. They may say, “Mom, I’m in high school now! You don’t need to know everything.” When in fact, deep down, they like to know that you’re still interested in what is happening in their life and in school. STAY involved!
